Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. Numberous FFI clubs and Councils have a long history of working with disabled veterans through Project Healing Waters programs.

In Mississippi, Ed Carson is the state coordinator for Project Healing Waters, and along with the members of the Mississippi Coast Fly Fishers, Ed has held numerous events including casting and tying trainings, as well as fly fishing outings for disabled veterans at the Armed Froces Retirement Center in Gulf Port, MS.
